After a tiring first day lurking around Penang by using public transport, we soon realised that that was a waste of time, Having had to wait for the buses under the unforgiving sun is very unpleasant indeed, and so we reached a consensus decision which benefited everyone of us eventually. :D

I rented two kinda usang small Kancils enough to fit seven of us and off we went for our second day adventure!

Penang hill was the first location we were heading towards.

This aint Penang Hill btw.

This ain't Penang Hill btw.

Luckily it wasn’t really packed that day and we had a really smooth ride up to the Penang Hill, albeit a lil long, about 30mins for a ride up to the station. The tram was a heritage itself, it was kinda old-looking and constantly giving out those sounds that signaled its age but yet it’s still serving the place well, and soon becoming the trademark of Penang.

But I’d wish that the time of travelling could be fastened up as we wasted one hour inside the tram for thru and forth. Reaching Penang Hill top was an achievement itself, and you wouldn’t believe the sight of whole Penang that unfurled right in front of our eyes. It was really awesome to see Komtar, Penang Bridge, Cititel, and all those skycrapers that stood there proudly. But the sight wasn’t very clear though, thanks to the haze that clouded the whole city.

We didn’t spend much time on the hill, about 30 mins or so as our schedule were already behind! Yet we wasted no time for camwhoring!

And soon after we descended, we were on our way for lunch. What’s next famous Penang food? Asam Laksa!

No joke but it’s the best asam laksa I ever tasted. Till now I could still remember every single taste of it. I ate two bowls, downed them and still craved for more. Penang Asam Laksa always the best! Seeing it makes me drool for it already!

Count how many bowls?

It was really spicy too.

It was really spicy too.

It was about 2pm when we finished our lunch, and we were heading towards the famed Batu Ferringhi. It took me almost one and a half hour to reach there! But as much as I like to see the beach, beaches in Penang are wayyyyyy sucky that Redang’s. Contaminated, polluted and smelly.

After a quick dinner at there, we were on our way back to hotel. Everyone was dehydrated and exhausted at the end of the night, but the night didn’t end there though.

We rocked Penang!
