‘Free dinner at Taylors!’.
The very thing that attracted me while I was busy burying my head into piles of notes given by lecturer was the damn word ‘free’. This typical Malaysian’s kiasu-ness never had the chance of getting off my back. Running away from it equals going against the flow and so it wasn’t an option either. So, embracing the kiasu-ness instilled in my heart thanks to my primary schoolmates is always the only choice. Yes, fellow Malaysians, we are kiasu people!

This offer wasn’t for me initially. It was supposed for someone desperado for dinner, but the ‘fate of light’ shone on me instead and without realising it I was on my way to Taylors for free food!

It was some culinary assignment for the hospitality students and to be frank, I was seriously hoping it would be fulfilling. Turned out to be the very opposite and at the end I actually chewed chocolate to fill the blanks inside the stomach.
Sometimes, kiasu-ness can be reserved for something better!
Thanks to Uwei for the ride.
