A refreshing trip was something I needed badly at times when I had enough of studies. It was bored to stay inside hostel for long and my dad rewarded my hard work with a trip up to Cameron Highland during the Merdeka Weekend, something I had craved for long after Redang trip!
Equipped with my beloved D90, Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 Macro, 28-105 f/2.8, and flashlight, off we went heading towards Cameron. How much I wished I have a wide angle along with me that moment!
The journey to Cameron was overall smooth, something unexpected since it was a public holiday. We stopped by Bidor for its well-known ‘Duck Leg Mee’ as breakfast. It was crowded at there though, buses were seen around and tourists were seen flooding the shop. It took us some 50 minutes to get a proper seat and being served.

I wouldn’t say it was worth that long to wait for the mee. It tasted normal, though you can feel the intense herbs inside the soup that flushed through your buds, something which I like. The meat was succulent, and soft which I found it pleasant as with my braces on, I couldn’t bite something harder than that! But still, Petaling Street’s Wan Tan Mee wins my heart.

The ‘Sui Gao’ was something worth to try. The prawns embedded within the meat marinated with chicken soup covered by a thin layer of wan tan simply equalled to one thing, delicious. Once bitten, the meat was well mixed inside the tongue that gave you the sensation of eating another one. This, frankly, comparable to Canton-I/Dragon-I famed ‘Xiu Long Bao’.

The ‘Wu Tao Kok’ was flaccid though, surprisingly. The contents inside were not intact enough that it simple broke down when I opened it into pieces. Not a good sign for it. It was too salty for my liking and too lembik. Not good for chewing. Strongly not recommended.
