Mmm…This post serves as a clarification matter regarding my hometown. In case you still don’t know where I was ‘derived’ from, it’s RAWANG.

Rawang is a town in the district of Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia . It was the capital of Gombak until 1997. It is a developing town. From Wikipedia.
By all means please don’t fooled by its name if you haven’t stepped inside this town before, it was a KAMPUNG before, but that was way past my generations. To date, our place have blossomed in time and houses two of the biggest car manufacturers in the country, Tan Chong Motor, and Perodua Motor.

The rapid development clouding this particular area has been quite a face lift for my town. In a short span of 10 years time, We have seen the allocation of the old town to the new town area, 2 shopping malls, a bus terminal and serves as the hub for industrial activities as well.

This is the place that nurtured me into what I am today. All those childhood memories of cycling bicycles from houses to houses, vandalizing the playgrounds, bullying small kids, playing football, those were the core that formed much of my worry-less childhood days! Playing in muddy water wasn’t a big deal to us, we downed the big drain beside my house, catching insects with bare hands, it looked like a typical kampung lifestyle, those laidback-ish, but my parents ain’t no farmers nor did I sell vegetables at market, so I never regard myself as a kampung boy!

Moving to older days, where I learnt to ply my trade around the murky water of the world, the place I met my buddies, teachers. It was 2004 that I entered this school of mine, whereby I experienced a paradigm of my life, from being nobody to actually somebody. It started by the encouragement of those seniors, who took great troubles to mould me into a better person, continued by teachers who constantly showered me with supports, to friends who gave advices and parents who are still my pillar of support that changed my perspective of life forever.

I began to realise my deep potential, started to dream big, vying for the top. All these never occurred when I was in primary school, whereby I was just a minor character amongst those popular friends around. But as time went by, I grew.
oh well. To be continued…
