Colour me corby!

Samsung ‘Colour me Corby!’ was held at Sunway Lagoon last Saturday ago. Being one of the participants under the Samsung/Nuffnang banner, I gracefully walked myself down the pathway, not knowing the repercussions ahead….

(ended up being shot point blank/head shot)

We were then grouped into 4 different colours, according to the Samsung Corby theme. I actually got what I least expected! PINK. The worst colour I could get!

Liang was there to address the crowd as emcee, and he was very great at spiraling the team spirits! :D

Samsung officer giving a speech. Damn proud cause he wore a Chelsea kit!

Four games were tasked into every group whereby we all had to secure first place all the time to win one of the Samsung Corby phone (worth RM699!).

Pink started very bright actually. We were the enemies to be aimed at! Initially lar…But things turned out sour at the end. :(

Anyways, we had balloon thingy as the first game. Pink vs Yellow, I still remember clearly how me & Huai Bin actually confronted each other. He was one hell of a tough guy. But I fought off the challenge well & we prevailed! yay!

Second game took place at the pool. Telematch. Kancheong-ness to the max. I suck at telematch. No weight to match the power, no strength to pull the rope. Still remembered how I rolled like a bowling ball representing my House as the captain. I’m just….er…to small size. (working out on it) Thank god I wasn’t involved in this.

Won first round lost second round. Runner-up at 40 points, Orange the leading team at 100 points.

Bouldering followed after the intense telematch. As easy as it seemed, it wasn’t. NOT A FRIGGING BIT. Ok la I was a bit cocky in thinking that I could easily reach the top.

But I ended didn’t even touch one quarter of it. What a big failure. One girl was spotted up the top tho. I was clearly frustrated. Damn. Pink was no good, no good. We lost this round anyways.

But I do salute our team spirit, a clear reflection of 1Malaysia concept. There was not a single racial discrimination, everyone was actively participating in games & cheers came after cheers. It was a great pleasure to be in PINK, at least with those teammates around. Malays, Indians, Chinese, we didn’t give a damn about it.

Still remember? ‘1,2,3 Pink!’ (sounds gay)

Last game was the paintball shooting. Teams of 5 would be inside the shooting zone, facing each other. I kinda freaked out initially. (Heck I was just wearing a short pants!) But my confidence certainly pushed through me, and I ended my playing 2 matches. 1 win 1 lost.

The first match was very intense btw. Sharp shooters over the Orange eyeing me. 5 secs after the game started & I ended up being shot point blank! wtf I didn’t even get the chance to sneak into my position!

I was so incensed. I didn’t get to do a damn thing for my team & we lost easily. Second match came ringing to me when one of my team quit, I seized the chance & get back to the Orange. Time for some sweet revenge.

Second match ended favorably. We whacked the opposing team kaw2 & I managed to shoot 3 of them. Sweet sweet revenge. No confirmation of head shots tho. :(

That was the last game of all, Yellow team was tasked to kill off Orange at the end so they could be tied up. Didn’t end up what we expected. So………

The Orange prevailed as a champion! They certainly deserved it lar!

Headed back to the ceremonial area & Orange people were awarded a Samsung Corby phone each while Yellow team won themselves each RM100.

And as for Pink/White, we earned one hell lot of experience, something not even Corby or 100bucks can buy. :)

Special thanks to Samsung & Nuffnang for the great day. & the people I met around for being such a great companion.
