Ice Kacang seems to be a very much Penang local fanfare. It offers a cooling breeze especially when you’re touring underneath a blazing sun. Penang’s Ice Kacang is no different than the KL’s albeit with some fresh fruits dressing the top and a tad sweeter.
Tried two different Ice Kacang in Penang. One was at Lorong Selamat while another one was at Ayer Itam while having the Asam Laksa.
I still prefer the second one though!

The best ice kacang in Penang is at Hot & Spicy Cafe, Jalan Air Itam (main road), in front of the old Choon Nam cinema, opposite Public Bank Air Itam branch, just a few doors away from Shell petrol station.
RM2.80 per plate with ice-cream.
