Feelings and words can be so different. Sometimes it is so difficult to try to express how we feel, and we end up adding more words to our explanations so that they make sense, even though it may not fully express our innermost thoughts and feelings. Actions and body language sometimes speak much more honestly than do our words.

Feelings can stay with you forever. They may fade but they will never vanish entirely. You cannot elude the traces, you cannot escape the ghost for it dwells in everyday things and everyday people. It is there lurking in the shadows, and no matter how hard you may try or you may think you have erase the contents of the past, there will always be traces of evidence reminding you of it.

You think you have forgotten the person, the moments, the minutes, the hours and days, but when reflecting on the past, you chance upon something that reminded you and out of the blue, the echoes of the feelings resurface — even if you don’t feel that way any more, even if you are over it. You can still somehow remember the feeling of being in love, of being loved, being content, being fearful, hurt, betrayed — sometimes your mind remember it so vividly that your body and your heart react to it instantly with every fibre of your being, regardless of how long it has been since you have felt that way. Because time doesn’t really matter when it comes to the feelings that once made our hearts beat in a rhythm we never thought possible.
