I was among the privileged few to be invited to attend this exclusive event co-hosted by JJ & Ean.

Jason Derulo was quite a foreign to me till when the hits like ‘Watcha Say’, ‘Ridin Solo’, ‘In My Head’ caught my ear. And to have seen him live, frankly, was quite a different experience altogether!

And damn it. His showcase concert was that awesome. Like seriously %#^**% awesome.

Wasn’t expecting something more than a few of his songs and interviews. Instead, he rolled out all his Bilboard hits and rocked the whole Dragonfly to the floor! Literally.

The fact that he delayed the concert by 1hour didn’t dampen the crowd. Instead more and more people packing into the club and started to call out ‘Jason! Jason! Jason’!

And hell yea he didn’t disappoint the crowd. Let’s pray he shall be back soon?

Urbanscapes is organised by KLue and is the first and only all-day “user-generated” creative arts festival. Urbanscapes aims to bring together communities and participants from the fields of music, arts, lifestyle, film under a single banner to showcase the best of the local scene.

The weather was great that day! Sunny & clear skies! Bumped into a lot of people, including one of my cousin brothers too! Seemed like everyone was pumped for this much-celebrated annual event.

First time visit to KLPAC (Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre) and I already had a great impression on it. Serene surroundings to churn out the creative juices from the artistes with a lake overlooking the background. This is something out of the blue in the midst of the rather messy housing areas around Sentul. In fact, I’m surprised to find the KLPAC there!

The festival, however was more to feminine-catering perhaps. Tons of renowned blogshops lining around KLPac with them selling fashion stuff ranging from shoes to hairclips. Practically a living heaven for the girls there. Oh did I mention seeing people running amok to grab stuff as if they were free. Typical Malaysians mar!

It infuriated me a lot though. AS IF NOW MEN COULDN”T AND WOULDN’T DO SHOPPING.

Passed by one of these and I guess this must be the main attraction of the festival. DJ IN A CUP! NOW HOW COOL WAS THAT?

This year’s edition was quite disappointing with their massive budget cuts and so but will be back next year. Support local youth empowerment activities!

It was held at Kuala Lumpur Live Performing Arts (KLPac), Sentul West. I wouldn’t say it was an ‘incredible’ event, oh well, I’ve got the swarm badge from attending this (like finally)!

Anyways, we were there for Jia Wen’s birthday. Hmm how to describe her. Nick (my great badminton partner)’s GF, bubbly, humble. Qualities not expected from a World Prize winner (yes she is a world prize winner). I’m that stereotype cos I’ve this in mind that World Prize winners are cocky fells, cos I’m one myself. Not that I’ve a world prize.

Backkkk to Fullhouse. The place was great at the evening. Not too crowded & in fact it was barely half full. Recession. The sad part was that my flash died on me that day itself, as such the photos didn’t turn out nice as it’d be.

The ladies were gorgeous, the dudes were gorgeous. No, I’m not gorgeous. I’m just a photographer. FML. Thank god I didn’t under-dressed this time. I used to under-dressed at the very wrong occasions and over-dressed too. Sydney screwed me up for ‘under-dressing’ during her birthday and I swear, I shall look at the cabinet before taking whatever that’s in front of me.

And I need to refurbish my closet.

It was a great evening. Got to know more about the other collegemates that at times proved to be elusive to be close to.

And hope it was a great evening to the birthday girl too.

Not exactly what we had asked for (we asked for Jogoya, Tenji, Shogun, Shabu-Shabu…etc), but well, as someone told me this before, ‘Life is like a box full of chocolates, you never know what you going to get!’ (OK, not so related to the topic)

Sun&Surf is a Mediterranean-style Restaurant, serving you among others, Malaysian delights & with a touch of International-famed food. We, the students aren’t exactly the targeted segment by them, and with the presence of tons of executive having their company’s luncheon there, we crashed the whole Sun&Surf, literally.

We ran riot at the place, camwhoring everywhere you can think of, throwing towels around, picking all the food they’ve got & making noises around. Cos we’re just cool like that. hahahahah!

Look at how annoyed those ang mohs were behind the background. The best thing was that, we didn’t give a damn about them. Cos the night was all about us!

You see, SAC’s are not just bunch of nerds. We prove you that.

May 7 we all witnessed the birth of two beautiful individuals, each bringing a different of aura into this world.

It was May 7 last week and the birthdays of San San & Soon Soon! Went to Kimpachi Restaurant for the celebration with collegemates for some yuuuum yuuuum Japanese Cuisine. I only had their fried rice tho, cos I have no liking towards their raw eating culture!

A shoutout to the both the birthday babies!

Did a prank call to San San but she recognised my sexaaay voice instantly. Damn potong can no fun wan! Asked her to play along & wished her like, AGAIN?

Did a prank call to Soon Soon only to be directed to the voice mail. Wth kiasu bugger must be nerding most of the time & ignored my call.

Anyways, Happy Birthday to both of the wonderful May 7 babies, it’s been great knowing both of you. One who pinches me all the time (San) & one who acts weirdo all the time (Soon).

Here’s to another great years of Snowflaking & lepaking ahead!

#teampork had their very first outing on last Friday, with (almost full attendance) @19thalphabet @nwck89 @jianqinlee gracing the event in their (rather) casual outfit!

Anyways, we made our way to Betty’s Midwest Kitchen. Rumored to have the best pork dishes in town, it’s definitely not to be missed by the #teampork!

Had the ‘Pig in a blanket’ (RM 8.00) as the starter. The hotdogs were coated with a layer of bacon fried to deep perfection. It tasted a lil bit of salty with chewy meat. Served in a small portion of 6 pieces, it was simply too few to fill up my big appetite!

Seeing that @19thalphabet was amazingly indulging in his Crispy Bacon (RM 8.00) with plenty of WINs, and what a biotch he was not to share, we then proceeded to order another for ourself. And hell it was so great! The crispy & crunchy sensation etched forever inside my memories. Not to be missed.

Moving on to my main dish, Grilled Pork Belly with Beer Sauce (RM 24.90). This is a dish not to be attempted by weak-hearted person, more so if you’re afraid of instant weight-gain overnight. The pork belly was coated by almost 75% of fats, and it was no ordinary fats. It tasted juicy and once put into mouth, the fats splashed across your cavity almost instantly. No joke. It tasted even better when dipped with Beer sauce, which I presumed to be made with some alcohol content. The meat was tender, more so when you coupled it with the fats & the sauce. Multi-perfection achieved.

Highly recommended to be shared between friends. Not to be attempted alone. The fats were just too much for me to bear, for what it caused gym work-out to flood my days.

Grilled Pork Belly, definitely the WIN dish of all. WINsome.

Kuala Selangor, dubbed as the Land of Seafood & Sunset-by myself-, is approximately 1hour drive from Rawang. (I took 1hour & a half) The road is longggg & curvy one, decorated by views of Oil Palm plantations and occasionally a few ‘kampong style’ houses. This place offers the peace & tranquility away from the city centre.

The long journey was a well-worth one indeed, the breeze & views it offered were simple breathtaking. And we reached just in time for the sunset view.

I’m still trying to learn to photograph the sunset. Landscape photography is still not my thang.

Anyways, we soon settled down on a restaurant recommended by friends. Food came within 10mins of ordering. How efficient was that!

A scrumptious seafood dinner! yuuuuum.

OK, bare with me as I try to translate the name of the dishes from Chinese to English.

Steamed Tiger Prawns. This was the king of the dishes. Cost us more than RM6/prawn. But it was worth the price, tho came with a small portion, but the freshness of the prawn is something you can’t easily find anywhere. It was juicy (each of us only got to taste one) till the core and that the prawns was marinated with a tad bit of ‘hua jiu’, thus the scent of it blended very well with the taste.

Ok, I gave up on this. I have no idea what is it called but then it was part of the shell family. It was boiled before served with their specially made chilli sauce. Taste nothing when you eat it plain but the chilli sauce complimented it well enough, for you to appreciate the beauty of this simply dish.

‘Oo-Jian!’ Fried Oyster. This was really good. It was crunchy and succulent at the same time. The oysters were fresh so no worries for any sting smell. So much for being ironic, but they blended well together, bringing you some sort of ‘hot n cold’ sensation. Recommended!

Fried sotong. Expensive. I like how they fried it anyways, not too brownish but the texture was just nice to chew it. The freshness of the sotong contributed a lot to the overall taste.

If you find the long drive to Kuala Selangor is too much for you to bear, Klang shall be another good alternative for seafood.

Being one of the multitasker of the day, tho my name tag stated clearly ‘Head of Photography’, each & everyone of us worked our asses out, like literally. It was real fun tho, ahhh Sam & Nic, you guys missed the ‘WinClub’ recruitment!

The Organising Chairperson. He was really really really tensed up that day. Due to the massive participants we had this year, he had not rest his laurels on the day itself, not a single bit. A very very dedicated man & responsible, hats off to him.

Meet my former roommate. Still miss his lameness & joyous atmosphere inside the room! hahahaha One of the best roommate I had in my life, not that I’ve a lot also. ;p The countless pillow talk & gay chat we had…Those memories.

Overall, ACCA Sports Day was fun! To have a group of passionate team members working together with you, it brings a smile as a reward for my hardwork for the club. The OC was awesome, the AOCs were awesome, the president was awesome, & everyone else was awesome! The fun part was definitely the Tug-Of-War, where even the ABSASS joined in the fun! Shall blog about it next time anyways.

Graduation was yesterday and all the graduates had great fun celebrating the occasion with the robe and our very own Certs Holder! (amid the quite-boring procession)

And lastly to all my committee members who really worked their socks off for the graduation. It’s never easy to organise things in such a big scale & I’m grateful that everything turned out well at the end. It has been a great time working with each & every of you all and looking forward to our Sports Day!
