Tried out the latest realease from the McDonald’s franchise, the Grilled Chicken Burger. Or the ‘Greater Cheebuy’ as I used to call it. I mean Greater Cheese Burger. Wait. It doesn’t have cheese in it. Anyway.

So…What is the verdict?

Overrated. The first bite was OK to me. Smooth chicken thigh meat grilled with BBQ-marinated flavour. The sauce was a huge let down. It gave out a foul smell which might be unpleasant to certain customers, like me, and the lettuce, wasn’t exactly the fresh lettuce as heavily advertised by McDonald.

At RM11.90 it comes with regular Coke and the fries, which, frankly, has some seasonal differences. At times the fries could be really crunchy when it came out fresh from the oven. That was heavenly. Today though, was entirely different as the fries were flabby and seemingly soft to the core. Very unappetising.

If you really want to try the GCB, it’s available as ala carte at RM8.90.

Urbanscapes is organised by KLue and is the first and only all-day “user-generated” creative arts festival. Urbanscapes aims to bring together communities and participants from the fields of music, arts, lifestyle, film under a single banner to showcase the best of the local scene.

The weather was great that day! Sunny & clear skies! Bumped into a lot of people, including one of my cousin brothers too! Seemed like everyone was pumped for this much-celebrated annual event.

First time visit to KLPAC (Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre) and I already had a great impression on it. Serene surroundings to churn out the creative juices from the artistes with a lake overlooking the background. This is something out of the blue in the midst of the rather messy housing areas around Sentul. In fact, I’m surprised to find the KLPAC there!

The festival, however was more to feminine-catering perhaps. Tons of renowned blogshops lining around KLPac with them selling fashion stuff ranging from shoes to hairclips. Practically a living heaven for the girls there. Oh did I mention seeing people running amok to grab stuff as if they were free. Typical Malaysians mar!

It infuriated me a lot though. AS IF NOW MEN COULDN”T AND WOULDN’T DO SHOPPING.

Passed by one of these and I guess this must be the main attraction of the festival. DJ IN A CUP! NOW HOW COOL WAS THAT?

This year’s edition was quite disappointing with their massive budget cuts and so but will be back next year. Support local youth empowerment activities!

Dropped by Cristang, the famed Portuguese restaurant at 8th Avenue, Petaling Jaya with the #teampork members, Sam, Nick & Maddy! JianQin and Richard ffk-ed us, sadly.

It was a trip planned wayyyy before this, stretching as far as two months back. Glad that it turned out good at the end.

And there’s nothing to expect except the P7 Pork Burger with petai, dubbed as the ‘Urban Legend’.

It was hard to understand how petai and pork burger could come along with each other. I’ve to say that I was skeptical at first when Sam told me about it, but the thought instantly went off the moment I was served the ‘Urban Legend’.

The first bite was orgasmic. The second bit brought me up to cloud nine. The third bite, I could hardly say anything more.

It was just so damn amazing that no words can describe it. I mean, ‘HOW THE HECK did the chef mix both petai and pork slices together?!’  I don’t know. And I don’t care.

In between the burger was sliced with bacon and melted cheese, and together they formed a perfect combination, a total salivating experience for me.

Fact is, this burger is amazing. And there’s no reason for you NOT to try it out.

Tried two different Ice Kacang in Penang. One was at Lorong Selamat while another one was at Ayer Itam while having the Asam Laksa.

I still prefer the second one though!

Not exactly what we had asked for (we asked for Jogoya, Tenji, Shogun, Shabu-Shabu…etc), but well, as someone told me this before, ‘Life is like a box full of chocolates, you never know what you going to get!’ (OK, not so related to the topic)

Sun&Surf is a Mediterranean-style Restaurant, serving you among others, Malaysian delights & with a touch of International-famed food. We, the students aren’t exactly the targeted segment by them, and with the presence of tons of executive having their company’s luncheon there, we crashed the whole Sun&Surf, literally.

We ran riot at the place, camwhoring everywhere you can think of, throwing towels around, picking all the food they’ve got & making noises around. Cos we’re just cool like that. hahahahah!

Look at how annoyed those ang mohs were behind the background. The best thing was that, we didn’t give a damn about them. Cos the night was all about us!

You see, SAC’s are not just bunch of nerds. We prove you that.

woots! New watch! Dad bought it from Jakarta & he just landed today! A complete surprise for me as I expected something more of a bunch of chocolates from him.

I was thinking about buying a new watch this morning for my upcoming graduation in 3 sems’ time and tadaa! A new watch comes knocking my door.

Loving every moment I put it on my wrist. It makes me look so manly.

12 days to finals!

#teampork had their very first outing on last Friday, with (almost full attendance) @19thalphabet @nwck89 @jianqinlee gracing the event in their (rather) casual outfit!

Anyways, we made our way to Betty’s Midwest Kitchen. Rumored to have the best pork dishes in town, it’s definitely not to be missed by the #teampork!

Had the ‘Pig in a blanket’ (RM 8.00) as the starter. The hotdogs were coated with a layer of bacon fried to deep perfection. It tasted a lil bit of salty with chewy meat. Served in a small portion of 6 pieces, it was simply too few to fill up my big appetite!

Seeing that @19thalphabet was amazingly indulging in his Crispy Bacon (RM 8.00) with plenty of WINs, and what a biotch he was not to share, we then proceeded to order another for ourself. And hell it was so great! The crispy & crunchy sensation etched forever inside my memories. Not to be missed.

Moving on to my main dish, Grilled Pork Belly with Beer Sauce (RM 24.90). This is a dish not to be attempted by weak-hearted person, more so if you’re afraid of instant weight-gain overnight. The pork belly was coated by almost 75% of fats, and it was no ordinary fats. It tasted juicy and once put into mouth, the fats splashed across your cavity almost instantly. No joke. It tasted even better when dipped with Beer sauce, which I presumed to be made with some alcohol content. The meat was tender, more so when you coupled it with the fats & the sauce. Multi-perfection achieved.

Highly recommended to be shared between friends. Not to be attempted alone. The fats were just too much for me to bear, for what it caused gym work-out to flood my days.

Grilled Pork Belly, definitely the WIN dish of all. WINsome.

Being one of the multitasker of the day, tho my name tag stated clearly ‘Head of Photography’, each & everyone of us worked our asses out, like literally. It was real fun tho, ahhh Sam & Nic, you guys missed the ‘WinClub’ recruitment!

The Organising Chairperson. He was really really really tensed up that day. Due to the massive participants we had this year, he had not rest his laurels on the day itself, not a single bit. A very very dedicated man & responsible, hats off to him.

Meet my former roommate. Still miss his lameness & joyous atmosphere inside the room! hahahaha One of the best roommate I had in my life, not that I’ve a lot also. ;p The countless pillow talk & gay chat we had…Those memories.

First time using 80-200mm f/2.8, I like the bokeh effect & speed & sharpness of the lens! Chun-ted! Just to put a picture of me in my blog, you see.

Overall, ACCA Sports Day was fun! To have a group of passionate team members working together with you, it brings a smile as a reward for my hardwork for the club. The OC was awesome, the AOCs were awesome, the president was awesome, & everyone else was awesome! The fun part was definitely the Tug-Of-War, where even the ABSASS joined in the fun! Shall blog about it next time anyways.

Ooooh! The tiger prawns were so mama-mia! I definitely went ‘gaga’ over it!

Rushed off to Kuala Selangor early noon just to catch a glimpse of the sunset. And it was so beautiful.

It was Ming’s birthday! (why la so many birthday babies nowadays)

Hmmm the Rawang (food hunting) gang full turn out w/o Kim (at Kampar).

I like the place atmosphere & ambience, it was calm & a nice place to catch up with your friends. Anyways do make reservation cos it is packed all the time.

#1 Pineapple Fried Rice (RM 12.90). One of the best fried rice I’ve tried. The prawns were really fresh & juicy. Too bad it came with such a small portion. Don’t be deceived by the big pineapple, it was really really really small. Anyways, 8/10 for the fried rice & the price!

#2 Rib Eye Steak with potatoes (RM 24.90). It seemed that potatoes actually made up big portion of the dish. Rib Eye was small as well, & it didn’t really blend well with the sour-ish black pepper sauce. Pricey & not recommended.

#3 Birthday boy dish! Salmon Steak I think, (RM 39.90). This was really really small. lol Two mouthful of it & you’ll find an empty plate in front of you. It was fresh & chewy. Taste-wise I don’t think it lives up to its billing. But if you’re big fan of salmon, you mite want to give it a shot.

#4 Fish & Chips. Nothing special to compliment this. Not recommended.

#5 Malaysian Delights. It looked like one of the combination of mamak food! Satays, fried rice & eggs. Oh, and prawn crackers too.
