Just got back from Langkawi barely 24 hours ago for our semester break trip!

Great company, great fun, tho I did burn quite a big hole in the pocket. But nothing beats the excitement and relaxation that came along with it!

Now that I’m tanned, don’t be surprised if I walk into class fully-covered. No, really.

The picture is a good testament to my statement above.

The writer is now looking forward to the (hopefully) last and most grueling semester of all! And he wonders what’s in store for him. Hmmm.

I don’t. Heck, I don’t even know what’s my existence for. I didn’t choose to come to this world, my parents did. It felt like being thrown in the limelight out of a sudden when someone just popped up with the simplest question ever, ‘Why are you here?’ The world stops spinning for a second, and every single thing runs through your mind as you try to churn out the best possible answer for it. But the truth hurts, we don’t know what’s our existence for in actual fact.

To put it in a religious perspective would mean going to heaven/hell. And so that’s the purpose of life. To think about after-life instead of appreciating present. To put it in the earliest human civilization definition of life purpose would simply be, ‘reproduction’, basic form of survival.

I’m a free-thinker, I think a lot. I don’t look at two sides to a coin, I look at 10 sides to a coin, figuratively. Not if there’s really such a coin. And so I’d spend hours of my time to come up with a simple answer most people would take it granted.

It’s all about the depth of life instead of the length. It’s about the things you have done in the span of your life, be it short or long. Some people may never get to see the world, some people may get to see it for too long. The souls you touch, the joy you spread, the pain you inflict. The purpose of life correlates with the depth of my life, the deeper it goes, the more meaningful my life becomes.

There’s no right or wrong to a thing. As the usual saying goes, ‘always two sides to a coin’. So what’s your living purpose then?

And with the new year approaching fast, let’s take some time off and recap the things that I had and hadn’t for the year 2010.

January

High School mates reunion. Meeting up with them after a year-long hiatus. Good to know everyone is doing well and on their respective paths working towards a better life.

February

First bonding session with the Sunway-Tes Accountancy Club (SAC) members. They proved to be an important part of my university life in the latter part.

March

First visit to Trinity Home, a place for the underprivileged kids. I hadn’t been doing much charity prior to this but this was really an eye opener for me.

April

My Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Graduation. Another milestone stepping into ACCA.

May

Buffet Dinner with the SAC courtesy of Sunway-TES sponsor. We bonded really well from then on.

June

Taman Negara trip with the uni mates. My first visit to the National Park and heck it was fun of fun!

July

Attended the Malaysian Student Leaders Summit (MSLS) for the first time to witness debate from both sides of the political divide. A very intellectual summit.

August

I was part of the organising committee for Social Gathering specially catered for Sunway-TES students. One of our most successful event to date.

September

Broga Hike with the uni mates. Breathtaking scenery at the top. Highly recommended.

October

Organised a trip to Bukit Tinggi aka Colmar Tropicale with the Rawang gang to take a break from the usual rush.

November

My birthday month! I had different celebrations with different groups of friends I know, thanks for turning up and for the great 19th birthday.

December

Went down to Singapore with the family. This was photographed at Marina Bay Sands, 56-storeys above sea-level.

There’s more to it but I’ll just stop right here. And here’s to a better year ahead!

‘Time flies’, and as much as I articulated the same sentence every passing year, I couldn’t help it but continued to be amazed by the speed of time. It’s been a challenging year for me, as always, and I adore the challenges being thrown right at my face. Never a year without dramas, though this year was exceptionally a quiet one. I’ve learnt to be a better man, to be more tolerant, to be more patient, and to be passionate in everything that I do.

Physically, I’ve gotten bigger in size, although it fell short of my expectation at the start of the year. Mentally, I’ve grown stronger; learning to prioritize became very much an important element in my daily living. Emotionally, I have learnt to love people more, be less selfish and always take into account of others’ feelings.

In a nutshell, it’s been a learning year for me as I seek to perfect every single part of me, to be a better one, to be someone that will leave a mark in your life, to be the only Aaron Kee that you know.

I’m not a perfectionist, I’m nobody. But nobody’s perfect. And let’s hope for a better year ahead.

We have also embarked on a foster home program with Trinity Children Centre (TCC Home) where a child is placed with suitable foster parents during school holidays to instill a feeling of parental care and love.

SAC has specially engaged Trinity Home over the years and every week we’ll organise a visit to the home, time to embark on some CSR (Club Social Responsibility)!

Last Friday, Elaine, specially in charged of the Trinity Home portfolio organised a visit to the home.

We did some tutoring to the kids, helping them out with their homework & stuff.

Ok, this is mai kid! Say hi to Richard! A playful boy, I see very much of myself in him.

We did a minor birthday celebration for the January till March Birthday kids, and the big dude is our PR Head. He is just, uhhh, the exception that day.

Ahhhh, looking at the kids burdenless, pressureless, problemless faces, how I wish I could turn back the time and start to be a kid again! But life moves forward, ain’t it?

And the one who always grumbles that she hasn’t got a place in my photo. Nah, one big space for uuuu!

Anyways, back in the Chinese New Year few months back…it was my very first organised CNY’s Open House. Organised in the sense that it wasn’t any impromptu visit, it was planned waaaaaay back before the previous CNY. (exaggerated)

And so it was the first time that my college friends had a proper visit to my hometown, Rawang, a place overwhelmingly unknown and alien to them.

It was an enjoyable occasion, gathering with my high school mates & all, not forgetting my English teacher who came (albeit an hour later) to grace our event. It was never easy to meet her, with her preoccupied with so many stuff & etc. To have her in my Open House, I have to say it definitely put a smile on my face.

Anyways, it was (around there la!) Ben and Pn. Haslina’s birthday, so I figure out it would be nice to have a small cake cutting ceremony in my house as well. (Kill birds birds with cakes.)

Anyways, I certainly do enjoy of having all of you in my Open House, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do too!

The best thing in life are your family & friends, and I have it both. Looking forward to next year’s!

It’s the foooooodie post from our visit to Fullhouse few weeks back! As I mentioned in the previous post, I came out satisfied, from my second visit to Fullhouse. This branch located in Jalan Yap Kwan Seng is wayyy better than the one’s in Sunway.

Friend ordered this Crispy Fried Chicken Chop, along with Black Pepper sauce. It came in big portion and they really fried the chicken well. The brownish crispy skin made it even appealing to the younger crowd.

If you’re not keen on the big portion, and perhaps a healthy Fullhouse Club Sandwich might suits your taste. I was so bloated up by the sandwich that I couldn’t fit in anything after one & a half slice of it! It was really fresh, especially the ham which was so tendered and juicy.

So tell me, how do you find Fullhouse’s food?

…..and her BF (Khai Ming) secretly bought her 19 roses for her birthday! How sweet can that be! (considering the fact that I’ve never give flowers to anyone)

Cause flowers wither but my heart never will. hahaha!

I don’t wanna review this tarts anymore, I can’t put my feelings into words. Just plain amazing.
