It was Ming’s birthday! (why la so many birthday babies nowadays)

Hmmm the Rawang (food hunting) gang full turn out w/o Kim (at Kampar).

I like the place atmosphere & ambience, it was calm & a nice place to catch up with your friends. Anyways do make reservation cos it is packed all the time.

#1 Pineapple Fried Rice (RM 12.90). One of the best fried rice I’ve tried. The prawns were really fresh & juicy. Too bad it came with such a small portion. Don’t be deceived by the big pineapple, it was really really really small. Anyways, 8/10 for the fried rice & the price!

#2 Rib Eye Steak with potatoes (RM 24.90). It seemed that potatoes actually made up big portion of the dish. Rib Eye was small as well, & it didn’t really blend well with the sour-ish black pepper sauce. Pricey & not recommended.

#3 Birthday boy dish! Salmon Steak I think, (RM 39.90). This was really really small. lol Two mouthful of it & you’ll find an empty plate in front of you. It was fresh & chewy. Taste-wise I don’t think it lives up to its billing. But if you’re big fan of salmon, you mite want to give it a shot.

#4 Fish & Chips. Nothing special to compliment this. Not recommended.

#5 Malaysian Delights. It looked like one of the combination of mamak food! Satays, fried rice & eggs. Oh, and prawn crackers too.

Oh we actually had another birthday dinner at Fullhouse on Tuesday.

The red laces retails for RM 15 each, with the full profit going to the African fund. Bought these at Sunway Pyramid last week and have been graciously wearing it out!

On a side note, it’s my father’s 48th Birthday today! We had a simple family dinner moments ago and my sister baked an awesome Tiramisu cake for him. Will upload more pictures for the celebrations later. Stay tuned!

We went to WongKok at Sunway Pyramid during lunch break on Friday, the day after my 18th.

Oh, the sole purpose? For the gigantic Milk Tea la!

It was freaking huge, enough to fill all of our stomach. And look how Soon Soon craved for the big drink!

I have never wanted to be own photographer on my very own birthday, so there came Yew Wei! Btw, he took more pictures of himself than mine! pfft…

Oh well, they promised to kiss me too!

Being 18, I delivered a toast on that day itself. The saying goes something like this…

“as we gathered together to witness my 18th birthday, I’d like to personally thank each and everyone of you all who somehow fused into my life and made it colourful for me and etc…“

And we shared the big drink together!

For the night dinner, we proceeded to the Yuen’s Steamboat Buffet at Sunway Mentari. In between there were a few obstacles that almost ‘derailed’ our plan, but thank god they were all solved and we were cleared for the buffet! Tho we were late by like 40minutes?

And when it comes to BUFFET, free flow of food, the typical Malaysians’ Kiasu-ness overwhelmed anything else. We just want to eat AS MUCH AS WE CAN, or perhaps more than that?

Look at what the people were scooping? There’s this so-so fried chicken at Yuen, and it seems to be so overrated and far-fetched that people will gather around the area there wayyyy before the chicken is served. And mind you, once it’s on the plate, people hustle around each other just to get hold of those chicken. Overrated ain’t it?

My victorious chicken wings, and look at how the people behind (bottom left) were so envious of me. Well, my recipe for success? Just push and scoop as many as possible. Yea, I’m very kiasu indeed.

Look at how this fellow was enjoying himself so much? And he ended up having diarrhea at the end.wtf?

After the mini gathering at Station 1, we finally decided to head back for the ‘routine’ karaoke session.

Karaoke session with friends is always awesome because these are the people who will never get bored of your singing, be it as holy as Taylor Swift or as ‘crocky’ as Daughtry. :p Even they get bored, nothing much can be done as I am the one who always hogs the mic , like forever?

But they keep humming out Chinese songs and all I did was just trying hard to lip sync along with the songs, but not till the ‘Boom Boom Pow’ showed up on the screen!

And then the birthday cake rolled out slowly as we were kinda tired shouting while the saliva splashed across the microphone. There is this tradition of creaming birthday people face and I was not spared at all. Heck I wasn’t even given a chance to defend myself?!

The reddish thingy was on my face for like at least 24 hours or so?!

Anyway, a group picture before everyone headed home around 2am.

Well, this year is rather different because I’m turning 18! It’s a life time achievement ok and we have this once in a lifetime ONLY!

Dad was kind enough to realise he couldn’t be around to celebrate my birthday in advance as he is now overseas . My whole family tagged along which included my aging grandma and off we went to Station One!

And I just notice we didn’t have a whole family pic!

And btw, the food in Station One SUCK. None of it was nice and it was real pricey. Not worth a visit except for its warming environment.

I didn’t have any picture of the food as they were served plainly and ‘uncreatively’.

Though we had a simple dinner together as a whole, but the memories of being together shall cherish me till the end of my life.
