This was ages ago, but it’s worth a posting on blog. As the saying goes, ‘Better post than never post right?’

Anyways, back in the Chinese New Year few months back…it was my very first organised CNY’s Open House. Organised in the sense that it wasn’t any impromptu visit, it was planned waaaaaay back before the previous CNY. (exaggerated)

And so it was the first time that my college friends had a proper visit to my hometown, Rawang, a place overwhelmingly unknown and alien to them.

It was an enjoyable occasion, gathering with my high school mates & all, not forgetting my English teacher who came (albeit an hour later) to grace our event. It was never easy to meet her, with her preoccupied with so many stuff & etc. To have her in my Open House, I have to say it definitely put a smile on my face.

Anyways, it was (around there la!) Ben and Pn. Haslina’s birthday, so I figure out it would be nice to have a small cake cutting ceremony in my house as well. (Kill birds birds with cakes.)

Anyways, I certainly do enjoy of having all of you in my Open House, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do too!

The best thing in life are your family & friends, and I have it both. Looking forward to next year’s!

In conjunction with the World AIDS Day on the 1st of December, Nike launched Red Laces in support of eradicating AIDS spread in Africa. And I’m here to declare the support of the war against the spread of AIDS!

The red laces retails for RM 15 each, with the full profit going to the African fund. Bought these at Sunway Pyramid last week and have been graciously wearing it out!

Watch the video by Nike!
Do a part for charity! The red laces definitely look great on your shoes!

On a side note, it’s my father’s 48th Birthday today! We had a simple family dinner moments ago and my sister baked an awesome Tiramisu cake for him. Will upload more pictures for the celebrations later. Stay tuned!

Had a great celebrations over the weekend for my 18th birthday graced by my family members and close friends around. Never expect something grand for birthday as over the years passing the one year mark is nothing as significant and most of the time I just brushed it off like any other day except we had some ‘cake blowing’ thingy.

Well, this year is rather different because I’m turning 18! It’s a life time achievement ok and we have this once in a lifetime ONLY!

Dad was kind enough to realise he couldn’t be around to celebrate my birthday in advance as he is now overseas . My whole family tagged along which included my aging grandma and off we went to Station One!

And I just notice we didn’t have a whole family pic!

And btw, the food in Station One SUCK. None of it was nice and it was real pricey. Not worth a visit except for its warming environment.

I didn’t have any picture of the food as they were served plainly and ‘uncreatively’.

Though we had a simple dinner together as a whole, but the memories of being together shall cherish me till the end of my life.

Lantern/Mid-Autumn festival was last week.

Over the years, during this month of the year, we would often gather together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival or more popular known as Lantern Festival. It’s something more like a heritage trail left by the ancestors, whereby people of modern times continue to uphold and cherish it. But as time progresses, a lot of its elements have been swallowed by the involvement of technology. Nowadays we can see those kids fiddle around with modern lanterns equipped with digital lightning and music, playing with the fire, burning everything in sight. Perhaps the meaning of celebrating this auspicious event has been lost?

Nevertheless, mum strongly believes in the importance of family bonding. Thus, skipping the family gathering is never an option for me, being important or not. And thus, celebrating the festival along with family has became a tradition.

It’s incredible to see how time flies by. Playing candles and flames filled up my night during the days I was younger. I still have the fresh memories of riding bicycle and running amok across the playgrounds holding lanterns, waxing the swings all over and sitting on it! gaaaaaaa~those times when I was more innocent.

Those times.

“We’re always too busy living in the past, or living for the future that we forget to live in the present. Cacat gile.”
